A new show by the co-creator Netflix's mockumentary 'American Vandal'

Hey all you cool cats and kittens. Some news from the Tiger King world today, as it has just been confirmed that Nicolas Cage will be playing Joe Exotic in a new scripted television series.

The eight-episode series, which is currently set to be called Joe Exotic, will be let by Dan Lagana, who was co-creator and show runner of Netflix’s famed mockumentary American Vandal.

The story is set to revolve around the rise and fall of the self-proclaimed Tiger King, who is currently serving 22 years in a federal prison after he was found guilty of a murder-for-hire plan against Carol Baskin.

According to Variety, Lagana’s project has been in the works since long before the premiere of Tiger King, as CBS Television optioned the series in June 2019.

This is the second scripted series that will revolve around Tiger King characters, as Saturday Night Live star Kate McKinnon will play Baskin in a new show based on a Joe Exotic podcast.
