Nicolas Cage to explore the ‘History of Swear Words’ for new Netflix series

The series premieres on January 5th

Meme-worthy actor Nicolas Cage is set to host a new Netflix series History of Swear Words.

The six episode comedic docu-series is exactly what it sounds like, and it will see the 56-year-old Oscar winner tracing the origins of curse words including “fuck,” “shit,” “bitch,” “dick,” “pussy,” and “damn.”

Cage will discuss the etymology and pop culture with expert linguists and special celebrity guests like Nick Offerman, Sarah Silverman, Nikki Glaser, Patti Harrison, Baron Vaughn, and more.

The new series, which officially premieres on Netflix on January 5th, comes from Funny or Die’s Mike Farrah, Beth Belew, and Joe Farrell, working in collaboration with Brien Meagher and Rhett Bachner.
