NXNE launches virtual festival series starting with Game Land

The festival’s esports tournament will run August 14 – 16 on Twitch

While the music portion of the festival postponed until 2021, North By Northeast has announced its Virtual NXNE series starting with Game Land, the Festival’s esports tournament August 14 – 16 on Twitch.

Festival organizers are keeping fan health and safety a priority for 2020, and the physical festival including Festival Village and Club Land will return June 11-20, 2021.

“Of course, we’re disappointed to postpone the physical Festival for the first time in 26 years,” says NXNE president Michael Hollett in a release. “But we will always defer to safety for our artists and audience. We are excited to share some of the NXNE experience online with our thousands of fans.”
