In just a few weeks, people will be able to travel via GO Train from Toronto’s Union Station to Niagara Falls (and vice versa), seven days a week, 365 days a year. The new weekend train service between Toronto and Niagara is one of GO Transit’s many expansions announced this morning by the Ontario provincial government.
The government revealed 84 new and 65 extended train trips across the GO Transit network during a press conference at Union Station. The expansion, which begins on August 31, will include almost 150 new or extended weekly GO Train trips across the Kitchener, Lakeshore East, and Lakeshore West GO Train lines. This will include late-night and hourly weekday trains between Union and Kitchener and new midday trips on the Lakeshore East line.
