Paramount Fine Foods CEO Mohamad Fakih has announced that he’s launching a fundraiser to raise money for the families of the Iran plane tragedy victims.

The fundraiser, which is called “Canada Strong,” aims to raise a whopping $1.5 million for the families of the victims of the Ukrainian airplane that was shot down in Iran. The disaster, which took place last week, resulted in the death of all 176 people on board, including 57 Canadians. “If there was ever a time, the time is now for all of us to come together and support one another,” Fakih said during the announcement.
The fundraiser has already raised $65,000, of which Fakih donated $30,000 himself.
