David Lynch has just announced a new series of concert under his Festival of Disruption, which will be run in partnership with the Bowery Presents.
Two concerts will be staged by the David Lynch Foundation (DLF) at Brooklyn Steel on May 17th and 18th, and it will feature performances from Phoebe Bridgers, Garbage, LCD Soundsystem’s Nancy Whang, Wye Oak, Mercury Rev, and the Messthetics. Additionally, the DLF will host a screening of Lynch’s 1998 flick Mulholland Drive on May 18th at Music Hall of Williamsburg, where actor Justin Theorux will have a conversation with Lynch himself (via Skype).

“Come to the Festival of Disruption, where we are dedicated to disrupting the old bad and bringing in the new good,” Lynch explained in a statement. “Which is peace, happiness, and good will to all. Let’s rock!”
Entirely curated by Lynch, the series will go toward his foundation’s work, which aims to bring Transcendental Meditation to those suffering from post-traumatic stress.
