Phoebe Bridgers, Sloppy Jane cover My Chemical Romance’s ‘Welcome to the Black Parade’ at SXSW

Phoebe Bridgers and Sloppy Jane teamed up for a performance of My Chemical Romance’s “Welcome to the Black Parade” at SXSW.

On Wednesday night (March 16th), Bridgers and Sloppy Jane teamed up for a group singalong of the tune. In fact, Bridgers’ label Saddest Factory Records had hosted its own showcase at SXSW called Saddest Factory Records Corporate Retreat. During the set, Charlie Hickey, MUNA, Claud, and Sloppy Jane all performed, with Bridgers playing the role of MC. Throughout the night, she hopped on stage with artists, including for the performance of “Welcome to the Black Parade.”

The finale of the show saw all of the artists taking part in a “TEAM BUILDING: Karaoke” session. During the performance of “Welcome to the Black Parade”, Bridgers once again linked up with Sloppy Jane, which she was the original bassist for.
