To commemorate the 100th anniversary of the WW1, there has been 888,246 poppies planted at the Tower of London – each one representing a fallen British or Commonwealth soldier. Each poppy was sold for £25 to members of the public. This is one of the most stunning, creative large-scale public installations in recent years.
