Riot Fest closed off Toronto’s summer festival series over the weekend and we learned that all the bands we loved in high school are still doing their thing. Thousands made the hike to Downsview Park for two days of great weather, great music and a whole lot of mud.
Day one included sets from Mounties, Manchester Orchestra, Taking Back Sunday, Brand New, Death From Above 1979, and The Cure – just to name a few. The second day was noticeably more packed with headliners City and Colour, Metric, and The National drawing more fans to the park. Other bands that played were Death Cab for Cutie, Stars, The Head and Heart, The New Pornographers, Tokyo Police Club, PUP, and many more.
