Trinity Bellwoods will give you the ultimate picnicking experience. There are tons of spots to either bask in the sun or stay covered in the shade. Check out some of the many activities to take part in while you’re there as well! This place has an off-leash dog park so it’s usually puppy central 24/7. Food, dogs, and sun…what more could you want?

Head to this iconic spot for some picnicking fun! Whether you want to be adventurous and find a spot on top of some high rocks, sit along the beach, or do the classic grass-and-blanket aesthetic, Bluffer’s Park has you covered. You can even try and snag a bench to take in the gorgeous lakefront.

This park is one of the prettiest places you’ll be in! It may be small, but it is packed with beautiful flowers, cool architecture, and live music. It’s intricate design is supposed to reflect one of Bach’s pieces entitled Suite No. 1 in G Major for unaccompanied cello, BWV 1007. Go see for yourself!

Pack some PB&J’s and head to Cherry Beach for a good time. It’s not only a place to relax, but a place to party if you’re there for their live DJ sessions every Sunday from 3-11 pm. If you want to work off the sammy’s, you can rent out some paddle boards and take on the lake!


High Park is home to 18 different picnic sites that are all guaranteed to suit your taste. There are tons of tables where you can dine, and even if they’re all filled up, it’s not like they’re lacking in grass space. Tip: Plan your trip during cherry blossom season, you won’t be disappointed!

Riverdale holds a great view of the Toronto skyline, whether you’re here during the day or strolling at night. Enjoy snacks on top of its hill and then take a trip down one of its many trails.

Check and see all the things you can do while on your picnicking adventure in Dufferin Grove! Lay under a canopy of trees, play on their multipurpose sports field, shoot some hoops, relax in the wading pool, and check out their reflexology footpath! There’s never not something to do here!

Take a free guided tour, enjoy some treats at garden café (if you didn’t bring enough goodies), stroll through their Thursday organic farmers’ market, and immerse yourself in their outdoor music series! Although this trip may get a little pricey, it’s totally worth it to have a picnic in front of that iconic T.O view. Plan a full day trip here and take part in all the great stuff they have to offer.
