Porches shares video for new track ‘Okay,’ announces forthcoming album ‘All Day Gentle Hold !’

Aaron Maine has returned to announce his new album as Porches, All Day Gentle Hold ! As part of the announcement, he’s shared a video for the new single “Okay.”

After isolating due to the pandemic, this new tune bursts onto the seen. Porches is determined to reconnect with the world through this upbeat, dreamy tune. The accompanying Maine-directed video comes packed with shots of Porches dancing in front of a painted New York. Decked out in an I Love NY t-shirt, Porches eventually changes into an angel and devil outfit.

“I recorded this album in my room between October 2019 and April 2021,” Porches explains. “The world was flipped and I wanted to make something injected with as much love, urgency, and lust for humanity as I possibly could.”

The forthcoming album is all about celebration. All Day Gentle Hold ! sees Porches channeling a harder, louder, shorter sound. Maine says that the album’s chaotic sound boasts “the most energetic, off-the-cuff moments, collaged together into the most captivating songs I could make.”

Maine returns to his rock roots on this anthemic album, using the guitar as his main instrument. Porches’ new album is inspired by the pop punk and grunge bands like The Ramones and Nirvana.

The forthcoming album features previously released singles “I Miss That” and “Okay.” Upon its release, “I Miss That” came accompanied by a visualizer shot by Blood Orange’s Dev Hynes. It sees Porches eating from a bowl, jumping on his bed with a guitar, and standing in front of a fountain.
