Portishead to reunite for Ukraine Benefit Concert with IDLES, Heavy Lungs

Portishead are reuniting on stage for the first time in seven years at a Ukraine benefit concert with IDLES, Heavy Lungs, and more.

The concert will take place on May 2nd at O2 Academy Bristol. Organized by War Child UK, the event will see Portishead reuniting for a good cause. Just 1200 people will be able to attend the shows, and tickets are set to be raffled off in pairs. For every 10 pounds donated, you get three separate entries into the draw. Anyone that enters the raffle will get access to a free livestream of the show.

Alongside Portishead, artists like Billy Nomates, Kathy J Pearson, Heavy Lungs, Wilderman, and Willie J Healy will perform at the show.

Check out the full lineup below.

All proceeds from the concert go toward War Child UK, and until May 31st, the UK Government will match the proceeds pound for pound.

“Your donation will help the unfolding crisis in Ukraine, and match funding from the UK Government will also go to Yemen where millions of children are still in desperate need of protection from conflict,” the website reads.

“We are really pleased to be able to support the people of Ukraine by performing a few songs at this event in collaboration with the amazing War Child charity,” Portishead say.

Portishead members Beth Gibbons, Geoff Barrow, and Adrian Utley last performed live together in 2015.
