Prism Prize to announce 2020 Grand Prize Winner in virtual show

The show will take place on July 23rd

Today, The Prism Prize has announced that they’ll be hosting a virtual show to celebrate the Top 20 Canadian music videos of the year, where they will reveal the 2020 Grand Prize winner.

The event will take place on Thursday, July 23rd at 8:00 PM on and the @PrismPrize Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube pages. Today’s announcement comes following the cancellation of the 2020 Prism Prize Grand Prize screening and awards presentation because of the spread of COVID-19.

While most years, the Prism Prize narrows the nominees down to a Top 10, this year the Prism Prize has decided to keep all Top 20 artists in the running for the Grand Prize, including Orville Peck, PUP, Mac DeMarco, and more. A jury of more than 120 Canadian creative arts professionals voted on the winner, who will be awarded $20,000, and the runner-ups will each receive a cash prize of $500.
