Promotion of vaping products will be banned from convenience stores, gas stations this week

As of Wednesday, regulations will align with the ban on in-store tobacco promotion

Ontario’s ban on the promotion of vaping products will begin on Wednesday in both convenience stores and gas stations.

The regulations were introduced after research showed that vaping was on the rise among young people in Ontario. Now, the vaping rules will align with the ban on in-store tobacco promotion, but the products can still be promoted in specialty vaping and cannabis shops, which are open to people who are 19-years-old and older.

Additionally, the government expects to implement additional regulations to protect young people from vaping in the new year, according to CBC.
