After 35 years of business, it comes as upsetting news that Queen Video’s original location will be shutting down. The closing of the video store, located on 412 Queen St. West, was announced on Twitter:
After 35 years operating in Toronto, we are sad to announce our historic Queen St location is CLOSING.

It has not been said why the location is closing, but given the amount of online streaming options it doesn’t come as a surprise that shops like this are going under (remember Blockbuster?).
There is some good news for movie buffs: the Annex location at 480 Bloor St. Wset will stay open.
Owner of Queen Video, Howard Levman, told City News that a huge discount sale will be held at the Queen location this Friday at 11 a.m. The sale will last about six weeks because he would like to clear as much stock as possible.
