Rachael Dadd shares cinematic video for new single ‘Moon Sails,’ announces forthcoming album ‘Kaleidoscope’

Rachel Dadd has announced her new album, Kaleidoscope, out October 14th via Memphis Industries. To preview the collection, she’s shared a video for her new single “Moon Sails.”

“Moon Sails” is a stunning tune with dreamy instrumentals and punchy synth lines. The soft, yet experimental instrumental lines allow Dadd’s silky vocal lines to truly shine.

Directed by Narna Hue, the accompanying video is perfectly cinematic, packed with shots of Rachael Dadd singing into the camera with a balloon in hand, and dancing by the water with some white fabric. Throughout the clip, perfectly trippy effects are layered over top of the stunning shots, making for unique images that fit the track perfectly.

Watch the video for “Moon Sails” below.

Kaleidoscope serves as the follow-up to 2019’s Flux. Rachael Dadd created the album in the middle of lockdown, seeking escape through songwriting. As a result, she hopes that when people listen to the album, “they will feel held and find space to breathe, grieve and celebrate.”

“Music for me usually comes from a place where I’m in a state of flow and free-child: playful and explorative and sparked by the infinite possibilities that creating can bring,” Rachael Dadd continues, “so kaleidoscope, a toy with infinite possibilities of shape, colour and pattern, seemed like a really good title.”
