Radiohead Release Statement On Downsview Park Stage Collapse Inquest

Band seeking justice for killed stage technician

Radiohead have responded to the latest update in the case of their drum technician who was killed five years ago at Downsview Park.

The statement comes after a CBC report that learned Ontario’s chief coroner will file an official inquest Thursday into Scott Johnson’s Death. Johnson was crushed by a stage monitor when the stage collpased, shortly before Radiohead were supposed to run through dress rehearsal.

The band previously took to social media in September when all charges in the case were stayed. “Words utterly fail me … ” Thom Yorke tweeted. Still, no one has been held accountable for Johnson’s death.
