In the rise of the coronavirus pandemic, Record Store Day 2020 has been postponed. It was supposed to take place on April 18th, but has been pushed back until June 20th as a preventative measure.
This follows many festivals, concerts, events and programming getting cancelled or postponed amid the coronavirus outbreak — such as Coachella postponing their festival, SXSW cancelling their festival altogether and Live Nation Entertainment and AEG Presents suspending touring acts.
“RSD acknowledges the need to be good citizens of both the local and worldwide communities while still giving our participating stores around the world the best chance to have a profitable, successful Record Store Day,” organizers said in a statement.

RSD is worldwide and celebrates a record store's place in their community. As good citizens of those communities we want everyone to be safe, healthy and feel comfortable coming to the party.
