Red Hot Chili Peppers detail livestreamed gig from the Pyramids of Giza

'The pyramids, it's unbelievable, we just jumped at the opportunity'

The Red Hot Chili Peppers have just detailed their upcoming special concert, which will take place at the Pyramids of Giza in Egypt.

The veteran band’s debut gig in Egypt will feature a livestream of the entire gig that takes place at one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World on March 15th. Fans will be able to watch the show from 2:00 p.m. EST onward on the band’s website.

“Learning. Learning. Learning. It is happening again right now, my heart is abuzz with joy at the prospect of performing in Egypt. I’m so grateful and humbled for the impending experience,” bassist Flea explained in a statement. “The pyramids, it’s unbelievable, we just jumped at the opportunity.”
