Ridley Scott reportedly has a new Blade Runner television series in the works.
Back in December of 2020, we found out that Scott has an Alien series on the way. Now, it’s been revealed that he’s making a television show based off of another one of his hit flicks. This time, Scott will be making a TV show based on Blade Runner.
Scott revealed that the show is already in the works while on BBC’s radio news show, Today. He was promoting his new Lady Gaga-starring movie, House Of Gucci, when he broke the news.

“We have already written the pilot for Blade Runner and the bible,” Scott explained. “So, we’re already presenting Blade Runner as a TV show, the first 10 hours.”
While not much has been revealed about the plot, Scott says it’ll be a 10-part series.
The Alien series, however, is “now being written for pilot.” The bible for the show is also in the works. That bible indicates the show will likely run somewhere between 8 and 10 hours.
Alien is being set up at FX with Noah Hawley as showrunner. FX boxx John Landgraf says it will be “the first Alien story set on Earth – and by blending both the timeless horror of the first Alien film with the non-stop action of the second, it’s going to be a scary thrill ride that will blow people back in their seats.”
Scott had not previously announced a Blade Runner television series.
