The Morning After was really saddened by the death of the elusive white squirrel in Trinity Bellwoods Park. After we got the news of Milky’s passing, we memorialized “Milky”. See the video here. Music courtesy of Sarah McLachlan.

Matt Hart paid tribute and wrote this touching eulogy:

Dearest Milky, we’re not sure if your porcelain complexion was from lack of sunlight, or it could have been a gesture of solidarity with the pasty white hipsters that frequented your beloved park.

Or maybe it was due to the fact that you lived off of a diet of empty PBR cans and discarded moustache wax containers. It was probably a genetic abnormality. But in any case you were a shining beacon, scampering through the trees of Trinity Bellwoods and you will be missed. And while the red,black and gray squirrels will continue to feast on trash in your absence, you will always be remembered as nature’s freakish birthmark. Shine on, you crazy diamond.
