A Toronto robber learned about karma the hard way after he broke an arm and both legs fleeing the scene of his crime this week.
After employees at the Rabba at Front and Blue Jays Way noticed a man in his late 20s stealing lottery tickets from the store, they gave notice to police who began to chase the man.
While fleeing, the suspect came to the pedestrian bridge near the Rogers Centre, and misjudging the 30-foot drop, he jumped off.
The man broke both one of his wrists and both ankles attempting to land the drop. He was rushed to the trauma centre at a nearby hospital where he sustained possibly life-threatening injuries. He is expected to survive.
Upon hearing of his injuries, the store said they would not be adding insult to injury and pressing charges.
