The Cure are set to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on March 29th, and they’ve been riding the momentum from that by announcing shows left, right, and center. “We’ve enjoyed [the shows] and we’ve just recorded a new album for the first time in 10 years,” Smith explains in the interview. “I’m still doing this for the right reasons.”
Although Smith didn’t reveal much about the yet-to-be-titled album, he did say that it will sound exactly like what fans are hoping for. “We cover different styles of music, but because it’s us doing it, it sounds like us,” Smith revealed.
