Well, it’s already time to ruin your day: the first images from the forthcoming horror film Winnie The Pooh: Blood And Honey are here.
According to Dread Central, the forthcoming film is directed by Rhys Frake-Waterfield. Craig David Dowsett stars as the titular Winnie The Pooh alongside Amber Doig-Thorne, Maria Taylor, Danielle Scott, Danielle Ronald, and Chris Cordell. The IMDB page for the film calls it a “horror retelling of the famous legend of Winnie The Pooh.”
The first images for the film shows Pooh as a slasher serial killer with sledgehammer in hand. An eerie version of Pooh’s right hand man Piglet also appears in one of the previews. There’s also a shot with the words “get out” smeared across a window in blood.

Out later this year, the film is helmed by Jagged Edge Productions.
Earlier in 2022, Winnie The Pooh entered public domain, allowing anyone to use the character in creative media without copyright laws. While the original, created by author A.A. Milne and illustrator E.H. Shepard in 1926, starred a soft, heartwarming bear, this new version of the story appears to have a much darker edge to it.
