Seinfeld ‘Soup Nazi’ Dishes Out Soup in B.C. for Wildfire Relief

Actor Larry Thomas reprises role for good cause

An iconic Seinfeld character has stepped in to help out British Columbia residents who have been impacted by the devastating wildfires that have swept through the province’s interior this summer. Larry Thomas, who played the “Soup Nazi,” was in New Westminster, B.C., over the weekend serving soup in character at Greens and Beans Deli.

Thomas has made several appearances in character at the deli over the years in an effort to help out with various fundraising projects. “They always do such great work,” Thomas told CBC. “She called me and told me about the wildfires, and I said, I’m there.”

Thomas’ character rose to fame following an appearance in a 1995 Seinfeld episode where his character bristled at customers in a deli, shouting “no soup for you!”

Over 20 years later it’s nice to see Thomas leaning on his former role for a good cause. Here’s some photos from his work over the weekend.
