A Toronto driver “trying to impress” a passenger wound up stuck in Lake Ontario at Cherry Beach for over two hours Tuesday morning.
The driver and passenger made it out of the Jeep and no injuries were reported, but it took Toronto police more than two hours to pull the vehicle out of shallow water after it veered off the snow-covered road.
“Someone decided to off-road because they were driving a Jeep,” Const. Allyson Douglas-Cook told CBC. “The driver was trying to impress a passenger. I think it was someone trying to be adventurous.”
Maybe this driver will take not of his or her surroundings next time they attempt to go off-roading.
