Sinkhole near Toronto’s King and Church momentarily swallows up vehicle

Luckily, no one was injured

According to City News, a large sinkhole recently opened up in downtown Toronto, momentarily swallowing up a Range Rover.

The driver did not get injured, but as they were driving along Court Street near King and Church streets just after midnight last night, the vehicle got stuck in the sinkhole. Luckily, someone passing by the driver was able to help them get the vehicle out around 3:00 a.m. The lane is currently blocked off while crews look over and attempt to remedy the situation.

At the time, there were already concerns about the sinkhole, which now measures in at 10-feet and six-inches wide. Allegedly, it could continue collapsing even more.
