Smashing Pumpkins to host livestream event to celebrate 30th anniversary of ‘Gish’

The event takes place this Saturday (May 29)

Smashing Pumpkins have announced that they’ll be celebrating the 30th anniversary of their debut album, Gish, with a livestream event.

On Saturday, May 29th at 8:00 p.m. EST, Smashing Pumpkins will host the virtual event with a live vinyl listening party, a Q&A, and an exclusive preview of unreleased music.

While there won’t be any live performances, frontman Billy Corgan and drummer Jimmy Chamberlin will take to Corgan’s teashop, Madame Zuzu’s, to host the two hour event.

Tickets go on sale here this Friday, May 28th at 12:00 p.m. EST, and a part of the proceeds will go to Chicago’s no-kill animal shelter PAWS. Ticketholders will also have the chance to rewatch the livestream for 24 hours.
