Canadian collective Godspeed You! Black Emperor are probably the last band you would ever see align themselves with any sort of corporate partner. That’s not going to stop the internet from doing it for them, in an effort to earn a few laughs.
An interview clip of former Papa John’s CEO John Schnatter went viral on Tuesday. The short clip featured the disgraced former head of the pizza chain appearing sweaty, stating that he’s had 40 pizzas in the last 30 days and that a day of reckoning is coming, in reference to his resignation from the company after he used the n-word during a conference call.
Of course, someone thought to set Schnatter’s ramblings to Godspeed You! Black Emperor’s “Dead Flag Blues” from their 1997 record F♯ A♯ ∞. Watch the clip below.

Well done, now let’s hope the Montreal, Quebec-born outfit doesn’t take action to have this removed from existence.
