It will feature film screenings and unseen footage from the band's archives

On the 30th anniversary of Sonic Youth’s benchmark double-LP, Daydream Nation, the band will host an event called “Sonic Youth: 30 Years of Daydream Nation” that features three films and unseen footage from the band’s archives.

Lance Bangs’ new film Daydream Nation will be screened that night, featuring footage of the band performing their landmark album in Glasgow in 2007 and personal film footage of the American rock band.

The program will take place on October 20th at Hollywood Theatre in Portland, Oregon. Drummer Steve Shelley, filmmaker Lance Bangs, and the band’s archivist Aaron Mullan will be presenting at the event.
