The infamous Starbucks cup that made its way into the final season of Game of Thrones has an entirely new culprit. First, it was Daenerys, then Sansa, and now the blame is being put on Jon Snow.
As fans will remember, during the fourth episode of the final season of GOT, a Starbucks coffee cup was left in a shot during the victory celebration of the Battle of Winterfell. The cup was located in front of Emilia Clarke’s character, Daenerys Targaryen, having fans speculate that the cup was hers. Then, a photo of Sophie Turner holding a similar cup began circulating around the internet but Turner was quick to point out that the cast was always drinking Starbucks on set and that she wasn’t even in that scene’s shot.

Now, while being interviewed by Conan O’Brien on Wednesday, Turner pushed the blame on Kit Harrington, who plays Jon Snow. “I hear this every day of my life, this coffee cup thing, so it’s good to know that the coffee cup got more press than the final season altogether,” Turner joked. “The coffee cup was where Kit [Harington’s] chair was.”
After admitting that she first blamed Clarke, she was quick to realize that it was more like Harrington to leave a cup behind. “Kit is lazy and I think he would have done that,” Turner said. “It was in front of Kit’s chair and then obviously he moved and this picture was taken and it looked like it was in my seat, but I wasn’t there.”
