The Beastie Boys are set to collaborate with Spike Jonze again, as he will be releasing a photo book about the renowned trio.
In the past, the band and the filmmaker have collaborated on album covers, a memoir, a stage show, and classic music videos like “Sabotage” and “Sure Shot.” Now, Jonze’s first-ever photography book will be aptly called Beastie Boys.

The 256-page book is set to contain more than two hundred of Jonze’s personal photographs that he shot while spending time with the Beastie Boys. Jonze also penned the book’s afterword, and surviving Beastie Boys members Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz and Mike “Mike D” Diamond contributed some text to it as well.
“The first book of photography to be published by the Academy Award-winning film director and photographer Spike Jonze,” the official summary reads. “Will appeal to every fan of Beastie Boys and golden-era hip hop, as well as photography and Spike Jonze’s own focused audiences.”
The hardcover edition of Beastie Boys is set for release on March 17th, 2020.
