Ahead of their show with Metric and Interpol at the Budweiser Stage this past summer, Spoon dropped by Indie88 to play a couple of acoustic tracks live in the Black Box studio. They performed “Wild,” featured on their newest record Lucifer on the Sofa, as well as “Do You” from their 2014 album They Want My Soul.

Stripped down to their essentials, the acoustic versions showcase the band’s songwriting prowess which has sustained their legendary status since coming together way back in 1996. Lucifer on the Sofa marks the band’s tenth studio album. According to frontman Britt Daniel, “It’s the sound of classic rock as written by a guy who never did get Eric Clapton.”
