Spotify has launched its own modified version of the “Stories” feature found on Instagram, Facebook, Snapchat, and other platforms. The new feature, which will be called “Storyline,” will allow artists to share additional background information on their music.

While regular Stories disappear after 24 hours, Storyline can stay up for as long as the artist would like. Similar to “Behind the Lyrics,” the tidbits of information will pop up as songs play on Spotify’s iOS and Android apps, but not on desktop. Artists and labels can decide what will be included in their Storyline, as each frame can feature lyrics, images, or texts, and frames will automatically scroll after six seconds.
According to Billboard, Storyline is currently in its testing phase.
