St. Vincent is in the process of producing a new album for Carrie Brownstein’s Sleater Kinney, and it has just been revealed that they’ll be making a film together, too.
According to Collider, Clark and Brownstein have co-written a comedic concert movie together. The yet-to-be-titled film is set to star the two powerhouse musicians who will play “heightened versions of themselves.” Additionally, Brownstein will be co-producing the flick alongside Jett Steiger and Lana Kim, and Bill Bentz (Portlandia) is set to direct.

An unnamed source at the studio revealed that “the project isn’t a ‘mockumentary,’ as Collider first reported, but rather, a scripted film that was to have been shot like a documentary,” which sounds exactly the same as a mockumentary.
It’s unclear as to when the film is set to go into production, but just the idea of these two rocking female artists collaborating on a film is pretty epic.
