Acclaimed singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist St. Vincent (aka Annie Clark) earned her first top ten album with 2017’s Masseduction. The album was featured on virtually every year-end list, and added to her already highly-esteemed discography which includes a Grammy for Best Alternative Album for her 2014 self-titled release.
“Every record I make has an archetype,” says Clark. “Strange Mercy was Housewives on Pills. St. Vincent was Near-Future Cult Leader. Masseduction is different, it’s pretty first person. You can’t fact-check it, but if you want to know about my life, listen to this record.”
St. Vincent visited the Collective Arts Black Box to perform acoustic versions of two songs from Masseduction, “Los Ageless” and “Slow Disco”.
