Stream: Courtney Love, Mitski, Soccer Mommy showcase new music on ‘The Turning’ soundtrack

Kim Gordon, The Aubreys and Kali Uchis are also featured.

Today is the official release of the highly anticipated horror movie The Turning. The movie, based on Henry James’ 1898 novella The Turn of the Screw, follows a nanny who is looking after two children who have a very dark secret.

Accompanying the movie’s theatrical release is the official soundtrack, featuring 19 tracks from many talented artists. The soundtrack features new material from Courtney Love, Mitski, Empress Of, Soccer Mommy, and Finn Wolfhard and his new band The Aubreys. It also includes features from Kali Uchis, Warpaint, Kim Gordon, Alice Glass, Vagabon, Cherry Glazerr, and many other artists.

“I read The Turn of the Screw as a kid, so it’s a genuine privilege to have had the opportunity to work with the genius that is Floria Sigismondi and Lawrence Rothman on this soundtrack — especially as I’m alongside so many other fantastic female artists I respect,” Courtney Love said in a press release. “Floria and Lawrence had a clear vision on what they wanted to achieve and it was an honor to be invited into their studio and to become a part of it.”
