Stream: Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds release 17th album ‘Ghosteen’

It was released as an album-length lyric video

Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds have released their 17th studio album, Ghosteen.

The first part of the album is composed of eight tracks, whereas part two is made up of two longer tracks that come connected by a spoken word piece. “The songs on the first album are the children,” Cave explained. “The songs on the second album are their parents. Ghosteen is a migrating spirit.”

The haunting album was released this morning on YouTube as a Tom Hingston-directed, album-length lyric video. Clocking in around 70 minutes, the full record is a cohesive, heartbreaking narrative with stark, pained instrumental lines and heartwrenchingly vulnerable lyrics.
