Pearl Jam has dropped their long-awaited eleventh studio album Gigaton, which marks their first project in seven years.
“Making this record was a long journey,” explains lead guitarist Mike McCready. “It was emotionally dark and confusing at times, but also an exciting and experimental road map to musical redemption. Collaborating with my bandmates on Gigaton ultimately gave me greater love, awareness and knowledge of the need for human connection in these times.”
The 12-track album was promoted in unique ways prior to its release. Alongside singles “Dance of the Clairvoyants” and “Quick Escape,” the band teased “Superblood Wolfmoon” through an augmented reality web app that had fans pointing their phone at the moon to hear a snippet.
