Canadian indie band Said The Whale have just released their sixth full-length record, Cascadia, today via Arts & Crafts.
The album is the perfect blend of indie rock and atmospheric folk, with album highlights like previously released singles “UnAmerican,” “Wake Up,” and “Level Best.” With a delicate balance of catchy bangers and acoustic ballads, the record will give you every aspect of Said The Whale you’re looking for, all within just 12 tracks.

Indie88 recently sat down with the band’s Tyler Bancroft to discuss the five songs that most influenced their sound, and he told us that ““This upcoming album that we’ve made really feels like the most Said The Whale Said The Whale album there’s ever been. It feels like a totally distilled version. It just feels so honest and true to our band, and I feel like we’ve landed on what our band sounds like more than ever before.”
You can catch Said The Whale at the Phoenix on February 28th and March 1st where they’ll be opening up for Mother Mother.
