Surviving Nirvana members to play a one-off show this weekend

Dave Grohl has recruited his surviving Nirvana bandmates, Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear, for a one-off live show this weekend.

The event, which is called Heaven is Rock and Roll, takes place in Los Angeles on January 4th at a benefit gala for the Art of Elysium, which is an arts nonprofit. The gala originally announced Dave Grohl & Friends as a headliner alongside Cheap Trick, Marylin Manson, and L7. On top of Novoselic on bass and Smear on guitar, Dave Grohl & Friends will feature appearances from Beck, St. Vincent, and Dave Grohl’s daughter Violet.
