The trial saw the prosecutors play video footage, which showed the rapper throwing the victim, 19-year-old Mustafa Jafari, to the ground. Additionally, Jafari was hit in the back of the head with a bottle, but the court could not determine who hit him, which affected the court’s final decision.
While Mayers and his two bodyguards were not given prison sentences, they were given conditional sentences, and ordered to pay 12,500 kronor ($1,732 CAD) in compensation.
Mayers’ lawyer Slobodan Jovicic told reporters that it was too early to determine whether the ruling would be appealed.
