Taika Waititi set to direct forthcoming ‘Star Wars’ movie

A release date for the project has yet to be announced

May the Fourth be with you, Star Wars fans, as we’ve been gifted some excellent news. Take Waititi is set to direct a forthcoming Star Wars movie.

Waititi will co-write the film alongside Oscar nominee Krysty Wilson-Cairns, who’s known for 1917 and Last Night in Soho. Waititi has been brought on board after already directing and voice acting in The Mandalorian.
 

A release date for the project has yet to be announced.

Additionally, Leslye Headland of Russian doll will be developing a new StarWars series for Disney+.
