The 1975 frontman Matty Healy pays tribute to trumpeter Roy Hargrove

The musician who played on 'If I Believe You' and 'Sincerity is Scary' died at age 49

Matty Healy has tweeted out a tribute to Grammy-winning trumpet player, Roy Hargrove, who has just passed away at age 49.
 


The 1975 frontman urged fans to listen to their songs that he played on, “If I Believe You” and “Sincerity Is Scary,” stating that he made the songs very special to them. He also revealed that Hargrove played on “Frail State of Mind,” a track off of their upcoming album, Notes On A Conditional Form.
 


Hargrove is renowned for what he’s done in latin jazz and hip hop music, and even won a Grammy in 2003 for Best Jazz Instrumental Album.
