The 2019 Canada’s Walk of Fame RBC Emerging Musician Program Is Open for Submissions

It gives musicians with the tools needed to take their careers to the next level

Now in its seventh year, the Canada’s Walk of Fame RBC Emerging Musician Program (formerly the Emerging Artist Music Mentorship Program) aims to give aspiring musicians the support required to take their careers to the next level. With an estimated value at over $100,000, this initiative is one of the country’s premiere support programs for up-and-coming artists.

Since launching in 2013, the RBC Emerging Musician Program has provided prize winners with private studio recording time, introductions to renowned artists, access to music industry influencers, exposure to audiences and media, as well as artist development and funding.

The program is now open for submissions. The deadline to apply is Sunday, August 2nd, 2019 at 11:59 pm E.T.

Eligible participants must be between the ages of 15 and 35 upon submission, and demonstrate a commitment to pursuing a career in music. The Program is also open to residents of Quebec.

Past Grand Prize winners include Taylor Kurta, Ivory Hours, NEFE, and Taylor Kurta. 2017 winner Jaryd Stanley spoke about the impact the program had on his career.

“The money I received from the 2017 Grand Prize has allowed me to record and distribute music at major label quality studios, opportunities to perform live at top venues, and most importantly, time to create new music,” Stanley said.
