One of the world’s largest festivals dedicated to comic arts, The Toronto Comic Arts Festival begins this week, running in-person Friday April 29 to Sunday April 30 at the Toronto Reference Library. The festival also has a variety of digital programming available through their website. TCAF has also launched their digital marketplace which is available online from April 21 to May 7.
Since the first iteration in 2003, TCAF has promoted comics as a legitimate medium of literary and artistic worth, growing appreciation for the genre, and facilitating open interaction between creators and their community. The event features over 300 exhibitors from around the world, and tickets are free.
Festival producer Pip Bradford stopped by the Indie88 studio to chat with Lana and shared all the exciting details about this year’s event.
