The Cure’s Robert Smith set to curate festival later this year

Get ready for something similar to their 40th anniversary Hyde Park show

The Cure’s Robert Smith is set to curate his very own festival in Los Angeles later this year.

In an interview with SiriusXM via Consequence of Sound, the legendary frontman unveiled his plans to curate the festival at a forthcoming event. The festival is set to be similar to last year’s 40th anniversary concert in Hyde Park, which is set to get a concert film this year as well.

“We’ll be announcing another one later this month, which will be a really special one, actually, because we’re curating it,” Smith revealed. “So it’s going to be on the West Coast. There’s going to be about 10 other acts, all hand-picked. I just wanted to do something a bit like Hyde Park. Something a bit celebratory.”
