The Grammy Museum curates Amy Winehouse exhibit with iconic outfits and handwritten lyrics

The 'Beyond Black' exhibition will open on January 17th, 2020

The late Grammy award-winning artist Amy Winehouse will be forever be remembered through a special exhibition that will showcase her outfits and personal items, some which have never been presented in public.

The exhibition will open on January 17th, and it will be called Beyond Black – The Style Of Amy Winehouse. This will be the first-ever Winehouse exhibit in the United States that will show the style of the late artist. The collection will feature personal items like handwritten lyrics, journal entries and other “reflections” from the Winehouse family’s vault.

Among the pieces, there will be never-seen-before home video, along with unearthed handwritten lyrics, stage costumes, and the Dolce & Gabbana-designed outfit she wore during her triumphant 2008 Grammys appearance.

Many of the display items will go for auction at Julien’s Auctions on November 2021. The proceeds will go towards the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which was created after she passed away on July 23, 2011. The foundation works towards the prevention of drugs and alcohol and misuse in young people.

The Beyond Black exhibition will open on January 17th, 2020 and run through April 13th, 2020.
