The Hoxton Announces Closure for End of January

The local live music venue will be closing its doors permanently at the end of the month

Toronto is saying goodbye to another live music venue. After watching Hugh’s Room and Soybomb HQ close their doors, the Hoxton is set to be next.

The closing was announced yesterday on the venue’s Facebook page, confirming that the venue will be closed by the end of the month.

Embrace and The Social Group announced today that after six great years, The Hoxton will be closing its doors at the end…

Embrace and Hoxton co-owner Richard Lambert made the decision not to renew the venue’s lease after the building’s owner indicated plans to redevelop the site in the near future.

Embrace will still be booking bands that would have suited the Hoxton, but will instead book them at other local venues including the Velvet Underground and the Danforth Music Hall.
