The Josie Dye Show’s Socks for the Streets

Help us raise 10,000 pairs of socks this holiday season

Did you know over 5,000 people sleep on the streets or in shelters in Toronto every single night? Here in Canada we often take for granted something as simple as warm socks, but for those who are less fortunate, warm socks are essential for their health and comfort in the freezing winter season.

That’s why Indie88 is proud to present the Josie Dye Show’s Socks for the Streets. The Josie Dye Show would like to make sure that each and every one of these 5,000 people have warm feet this holiday season. With the full weight of Indie88 behind them, The Josie Dye Show is now initiating the first annual Socks for the Streets campaign to raise 10,000 pairs of socks before Christmas.

To bring this to life, On December 14, Josie, Matt, and Carlin will be hitting the streets. To bring this to life, On December 14, Josie, Matt, and Carlin will be hitting the streets. They will be out talking to outreach programs, shelters, and the people who experience it first hand.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

The Josie Dye Show will be broadcasting live from the Dufferin Mall on Friday, December 15 and Saturday, December 16 where they will be collecting donations of new, unused socks. They will also be collecting donations of cash which will be used to purchase socks. The socks will be donated to Socks 4 Souls Canada, a Toronto-based charity who has been distributing socks to the homeless since 2015.

If you’d like to donate, please follow the link here. Every $1 spent can purchase two pairs of socks.
